Hondo Hondo Udzungwa Forest Tented Camp

Hondo Hondo Udzungwa Forest Tented Camp is a small family-owned ecolodge bordering the Udzungwa Mountains National Park in southern Tanzania. The lodge is a growing eco-aware business which works closely with the local village community and is powered solely by a micro-hyrdo generator and solar water heaters.

Hondo Hondo provides access to the pristine rainforest of the Eastern Arc Mountains known as the Galapagos of Africa and has hosted researchers studying insects, baboons and other primates, and birds, as well as groups from universities and schools in Germany, Tanzania, Uganda and the UK. Hondo Hondo has been featured in articles and blogs including that of the [1] African Rainforest Conservancy, the [2] Natural History Museum London, and the [3] International Ecotourism Society regarding its environmental and sustainable tourism work.
